John M. Samuels, MPH

With over two decades of experience as a senior healthcare leader in prominent NYC hospitals including Northwell Health and Mount Sinai Beth Israel, John M. Samuels, MPH, possesses a strong background in curbing risk through comprehensive, multidisciplinary strategies. Overseeing a system that annually impacts nearly 700,000 lives, he effectively managed 16 emergency departments and an extensive urgent care network. His training in FEMA emergency preparation enabled him to orchestrate disaster responses, most notably during the challenges of Hurricane Sandy.

In 2016, John took his expertise to the next level by founding Better Health Advisors. His firm benefits from his insider knowledge, offering high net worth clients a guide through the healthcare system that's rooted in a holistic approach to build bespoke strategies. With an MPH from the University of Massachusetts and a graduation certificate from Cornell's Academy of Healthcare Leadership Advancement, he also holds nursing home administrator licenses in both New York and New Jersey.

Contributing to multiple boards, including Mary McDowell Friends Academy and the Phillips School of Nursing, John's commitment to community service shone during the COVID-19 pandemic. His remarkable efforts earned recognition, including a spot on the Forbes Next 1000 list in 2021.
