Sandie Worthington, CBIS

Sandie Worthington joined the Better Health Advisors team in 2023. She has more than 28 years of experience in healthcare serving individuals of all ages and their families. She is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist who works with people living with brain injury and co-occurring conditions of mental health issues and addictions. Before joining BHA, Sandie worked with treatment teams at East Carolina University Health (formerly PittCounty Memorial Hospital) and Haven at Blue Creek Women’s Recovery Residence. She also worked for 13 years as the Resource & Training Coordinator and as the Public Policy & Research Analyst Coordinator for the Brain Injury Association of North Carolina. Sandie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Leisure Systems Studies with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation. Her extensive background makes her a strong advocate for patients and their needs.
